Our situations in life may not change, but we can change the way we approach our situations

Numbers 21:4-7 (AMPC) And they journeyed from Mount Hor by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom, and the people became impatient (depressed, much discouraged), because [of the trials] of the way. And the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water, and we loathe this light (contemptible, unsubstantial) manna. Then the Lord sent fiery (burning) serpents among the people; and they bit the people, and many Israelites died. And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord, that He may take away the serpents from us. So Moses prayed for the people.

The devil does every single thing he can to annoy us as Christians so we do not display Christian behavior to the world. Life is real and stuff happens. It is so challenging not to complain when stuff happens! Instead of being upset when bad things happen, be glad that you have the ability to handle those things that seem bad to you. We have a lot more to be thankful for than we realize.

It’s easy to be thankful until something comes along that inconveniences us or that we do not like. How much attention we pay to our troubles is how much troubles will consume our lives. It is up to us to not let bad things consume us to the point where we no longer experience joy in our lives. We may not ever understand why we go through what we do in life, but there are things we just can’t change.

When we have situations we are going through, trusting God is what we are called to do. We focus so much on the problem we tend to overlook what God can do to bring us out of our problem. It is so easy to fall into the habit of complaining about everything. It just is. Like it or not, complaining is a sin that all of us do. This is something I personally need to work on.

We could eliminate the amount of stress in our lives just by focusing on the positive more than we focus on the negative. Let’s pray for one another that we learn to be content with what God is doing in our lives and stop thinking that everything has to go our way in order for us not to complain.

Our situations in life may not change, but we can change the way we approach our situations.

1 Corinthians 15:57 (AMPC) 57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
