One way to bring more peace in our lives is to stop trying to do God’s job

Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP) Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

A happy mind is peaceful. We can actually learn to love simplicity and to purposely keep our lives as simple as we can. We don’t have to worry about anything. We can be thankful for what we have and watch God work in our lives.

One of the biggest problems people have in their minds is worry. Worry is us thinking that we can figure out an answer to our problems. Why do we even think we can control certain things? Sometimes we even think we can control decisions others make. Stop trying to make everyone else do what you want them to do through manipulation and guilt and start having peace. Worry about your own life.

We do have responsibility in our problem but our responsibility is not to do God’s job. Our responsibility is to pray to God and ask Him to lead us to make the right decisions and then act when God tells us to act. It is okay to not be full of fret and worry when things are going wrong in life. Instead of worrying ourselves sick over our situations, we can pray and watch God work in our lives and of the lives of others.

When we worry about situations and people, we are to cast our cares and worry to God. God cares about us and watches over everything in our lives. One way to bring more peace in our lives is to stop trying to do God’s job. We will not stop worrying in life until we become smart enough to know we cannot fix some of our problems, only God can.

1 Peter 5:6-7 (AMP)Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
