2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (AMP) 4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,
Our weapons are not physical weapons, but they are spiritual weapons. The devil loves to attack our mind and we have to do whatever it is we can to fight that attack. I can have a whole lot of negative thoughts that go through my mind every day. It is up to me to stop those thoughts from to turning into words. We have use the weapon of the word of God to recognize every lie that comes from Satan and know the word of God enough to break that stronghold that the devil might have on us in the area of attacking our mind.
We can get to the point where we know the Word of God enough that when Satan comes at us, we recognize he is the enemy and we can fight back with scripture. We can know the word of God and fight Satan when we recognize His ploy to destroy our lives.
Romans 12:12 (AMP) 12 constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength],
When the devil puts bad thoughts in our head we can renew our mind by reading and studying the Word of God and understand that God has a plan for our lives. It is up to us to get to know God for ourselves, know ourselves, and know we have to power to overcome Satan.
Ephesians 1:17-19 (AMP) 17 [I always pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son]. 18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the [a]hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the [b]saints (God’s people), 19 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
