God is the foundation of every single thing in life – everything

Psalm 27:4 (AMPC) One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.

I never feel like I spend enough time with God and when I do, I question whether I am deepening my relationship with Him. I want that relationship but it just seems that I just might not always do what I need to do to have the relationship that is available to me. It is I, not God that determines my level of relationship with Him. At this moment, each and every one of us are as close to God as we want to be. If we wanted to be closer, we would do what it takes to develop that relationship. That responsibility is ours.

We can spend a lot of time seeking what God can do for us rather than seeking God for who He is. We must seek relationship with God – not just His hand. When we seek His hand we can find ourselves frustrated. When we seek relationship we find ourselves at peace with what we have because we trust God to give us what we need when we need it.

Psalm 37:4 (AMPC) Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

God is our main power source. When we do not stay plugged in it is as if we are struggling all of the time in one area or another. Our relationship with God is not just about asking for what we want, following rules of a church, doing what we think church people want us to do, and going to church on Sunday. Our relationship with God is about spending time with God, getting to know God, and making every decision with God’s input. We need to have discipline and guidelines but we also need to follow guidelines for the right reasons – because we love God and not because of what others may think of us.

It is time to get into the habit of putting God first, and going to God first in all things. God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. God is the foundation of every single thing in life – everything. We need to get established with our foundation before we start building things around us. Without a strong foundation, it may be difficult to hold up to everyday life.

Psalm 91:1 (AMPC) He who [a]dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
