How tragic to live life unhappy if we are Christians

Ephesians 6:10 (AMPC) 10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

The closer relationship we have with God the more the devil is afraid of us. But it also means the devil will do everything he can the interrupt that relationship. God wants us to have a close personal relationship with Him. Going to church is great, but we tend to forget why we are going and get accustomed to the habit. It is time to get much more serious about developing the relationship with God that will help us to live happy and obedient lives.

John 8:32 (AMPC) 32 And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.

When we have a close relationship with God we can be truthful with Him. God knows our truth before we do so we might as well be transparent about our thoughts and feelings about our situations. When we are truthful about how we really feel about things, God can help us if the feelings are negative or not in alignment with God’s word.

Matthew 22:37 (AMPC) 37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

In order to be in alignment with God’s word, we have to spend time reading the bible and applying it to our lives. When we have a relationship with God, He will help us to develop in areas of weakness so we can begin to make better choices. It’s in that time of growth that we develop a close and personal relationship with god.

If we never have a relationship with God, we will always feel like something is missing in our lives. No amount of money, friendship, pets, or whatever will fill that void for us. That void can make us feel sad and blue. How tragic to live life unhappy if we are Christians. It is time to get serious with our relationship with God.

Nehemiah 8:10 (AMPC) 10 Then [Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.

We are strengthened through our relationship with God. The devil will fight us every step of the way while we are trying to develop that relationship. That is because the devil knows that true happiness comes from God and when we have joy, we have strength. When we develop that relationship, we begin to have to tools we need to fight against the devil’s attack. The devil does not want us to have that knowledge. That is why he will do everything possible to impede our spiritual growth.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
