Live purposefully

Ephesians 2:6 (AMPC) And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us [a]joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

We can enter in the rest of God. We are seated in heavenly places. We are on earth, but internally in our soul, we can be seated in Christ and enter the rest of God trusting Him to do only what we can do. We can live in that position of rest no matter how difficult our situation is. Our real life is what is inside of us not what is going on around us.

1 Thessalonians 4:1 (AMPC) 4 Furthermore, [a]brethren, we beg and admonish you in [virtue of our union with] the Lord Jesus, that [you follow the instructions which] you learned from us about how you ought to walk so as to please and gratify God, as indeed you are doing, [and] that you do so even more and more abundantly [attaining yet greater perfection in living this life].

We can stand strong with God and stand strong against the enemy and walk out our Christian walk daily. We can just say we do this or that and go to church each week and then go home and not live out what we learn. To hear the word and not do it means we are not living out the Word of God in our lives.

Ephesians 5:15 (AMPC) 15 Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),

This all takes time and practice and faith with God. Our relationship with God is walked out in a journey. We may not seem like we are doing well but if you stop and think about all the things that have happened in your life and where you are today you may be surprised how far you have come.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
