Be aggressive in hoping for great things

Romans 15:13 (AMPC) 13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

Sometimes the way we start in life is the way we stay. Many of us who have had a tough time do not expect good things to happen because we do not want to be disappointed. If this is you, today is the day to make a change. It is amazing how much life can change just by changing our outlook and having hope for good things to happen. The devil wants to steal our joy – plain and simple and when we feel hopeless we lose our joy and zest in life.   When we have joy we actually feel inspired to do things. Joy gives us energy.

Our attitude is ours. Nobody can make us have a good one or a bad one. We think if circumstances are bad in life then we have to have a bad attitude. But we do not have to be that way. God is greater than any circumstance in our life. We need to cheer up and we need to do it on purpose. We cannot assist the devil in destroying our lives by refusing to believe good things will happen in our lives.

Zechariah 9:12 (AMPC) 12 Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you.

Be aggressive in hoping for great things. Hoping for good things require faith. Faith with a joyful expectation that something good is going to happen every single day. This is not about how we feel but rather about how we choose to believe. We can literally talk ourselves into a good mood. We do that by using the word of God.

When you are hopeful you refuse to be negative in any way regardless of your circumstances. It takes faith to remain hopeful in thought and conversation when it appears there is nothing to be hopeful about. Anyone can decide to be hopeful. When we let our circumstances dictate the amount of faith, hope, or happiness we have, we have given victory to the devil. Make a choice today to take back your thoughts, words, and attitude about life. We can make a decision to be hopeful before we feel like being hopeful. Eventually our feelings will catch up with our decision.

Fight for yourself! Fight to have a hopeful attitude. Fight for your joy! God is good and God is going to bless you.

Proverbs 15:15 (AMPC) 15 All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
