Numbers 21:4-7 (AMPC) 4 And they journeyed from Mount Hor by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom, and the people became impatient (depressed, much discouraged), because [of the trials] of the way. 5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water, and we loathe this light (contemptible, unsubstantial) manna. 6 Then the Lord sent fiery (burning) serpents among the people; and they bit the people, and many Israelites died. 7 And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord, that He may take away the serpents from us. So Moses prayed for the people.
When things go wrong in life it always seems to be someone else’s fault. We ask God for miracles when everything is going wrong. These people got a miracle and they complained about the miracle they had. We often pray for something then we complain about the thing that God gave us. We need to pray for spiritual maturity not always for the situation to change. When God changes us in a situation then we are better equipped to handle tough situations in life.
When we complain about everything in life we are opening the door for the devil to enter our lives. When that happens it kills our spiritual growth. Many times we do not even see complaining as a sin. In fact many of us don’t even repent when we complain because it has become such a habit for us. Each and every person has complained. Ask God to help you in this situation.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
