Our words reveal what is in our heart

Isaiah 58:9 (AMPC) Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, Here I am. If you take away from your midst yokes of oppression [wherever you find them], the finger pointed in scorn [toward the oppressed or the godly], and every form of false, harsh, unjust, and wicked speaking,

If we really want to live the life God wants us to live we will be watching the way we speak and help others throughout this journey we call life. Love can not only change our lives but the lives of others. Our words reveal what is in our heart. We say things we regret but the words come from a thought inside of us. Our heart condition is what makes us speak positive or negative. It is time we are accountable for the words that come out of our mouths. I personally have to pray every day for God to help me with the words that come out of my mouth. And not just the words, but the condition of my heart that makes me want to speak positive and or negatively about situations and people.

James 1:26-27 (AMPC) 26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religious service is worthless (futile, barren). 27 External [a]religious worship [[b]religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted and uncontaminated from the world.

Our mouth was not given to us to glorify the bad things in life, but to glorify God. We can be really bad about saying negative and bad things in the middle of a trial we might be in. When we speak negatively and complain we open a door for the devil to keep working His plan for our life in our trial. We are better to speak of the great things we have faith in God for in our trial; that shows trust in God and His plan for our lives.

Matthew 12:34-36 (AMPC) 34 You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked)? For out of the fullness (the overflow, the [a]superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man from his inner good treasure [b]flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse [c]flings forth evil things. 36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every [d]idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
