Proverbs 15:15 (AMPC) 15 All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].
If you can make yourself happy, why would you not choose to do it? It can be tough to view life positively at times. Some of us are just born more of a negative person than a positive person. Whether it is hard knocks that has made us negative, or if we were born negative – it is up to us to make the change to become a positive person. It is amazing how life can change when we just change our attitude to a hopeful attitude. When we are full of hope, we begin to see ourselves full of joy.
Our attitude is ours. Nobody can make us have a good one or a bad one – it is up to us how we decide to handle negative circumstances and view life. We are not obligated to have a bad attitude because our situations are bad. God is greater than anything that is in the world. We are to cheer up and we are to be happy on purpose.
Many attacks from the devil are to steal our joy. Our joy is energy and life for us. Some of us have had a difficult year or even life – but we do not have to let the devil destroy our lives by taking hold of our attitude toward life. Doubt and negativity can steal our joy and many days of our lives. We can be aggressive in hoping for great things to happen in our lives. Aggressive hope is having faith, believing and expecting the promises of God.
We may think we cannot help how we feel. This is not about how you feel, but rather, what you decide to do about how you feel. We can literally talk ourselves into a good mood and out of a bad mood. We can do that by understanding and studying the Word of God.
Anyone can decide to be hopeful. Today, make a choice not to be negative in any way and remain hopeful in situations and conversation! You can decide today to be full of hope! Today something good is going to happen to YOU!
Romans 15:13 (AMPC)13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
