You are a valuable person not just to yourself but to others

3 John 1:2 (AMP) Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].

It is wise to take care of yourself. There is no greater gift we can give to others than to be healthy spiritually, mentally, and physically. You are a valuable person not just to yourself but to others. It’s miserable when we feel miserable.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (AMP) 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? 20 You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.

We are God’s house as a born again believer. We need to use the house that we have and do the best with it. We don’t want to tear it down just because something is not working correctly. If you have a leaky faucet you do not move or get rid of the whole house, you fix the plumbing. That is how it is with our body. We tend to want to give up when we feel miserable or are not healthy in one area of our life. We must change our attitude to progress properly.

We have one body and we are very important to God. We are not here on accident. God has something for each of us to do. We are not likely to do what God wants us to when we are not feeling well. God doesn’t want us to be down and feeling lousy all of the time but rather excited each day to get up and live life with zeal. Of course we are going to have some down days, but let’s take care of the house that we have been blessed with the best way that we can.

2 Corinthians 5:20 (AMP) 20 So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us; we [as Christ’s representatives] plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God.

We are personal representatives of Jesus. How are you representing him? I know I have a ways to go in this area. But God is teaching me one day at a time and He will help you in this area as well. God cares about all of the little things in our life. He will help us with the little things and the big things so we can represent him in everything that we do.

Romans 12:1-2 (AMP) 12 [a]Therefore I urge you, [b]brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [c]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
