Growth does not happen overnight and is not easy, but do not let stumbling blocks and mistakes keep you down

Hebrews 4:3 (AMPC) For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest, [a]in accordance with His declaration that those [who did not believe] should not enter when He said, As I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest; and this He said although [His] works had been completed and prepared [and waiting for all who would believe] from the foundation of the world.

We are seated in heavenly places with Christ. Being seated is entering the rest of God while we are running our race. So we are seated while we are running. If we do not learn to enter God’s rest we will likely be running around like headless chickens during difficulties in life. Staying seated in Christ means I let God control things in my life that I possibly cannot control – that includes circumstances and people. The only thing I can do is pray for people and manage my own behavior around unlikable circumstances in people.

1 Peter 5:9 (AMPC) Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same ([a]identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

When things come against us – we have to stand strong against the devil and walk out our journey with grace and love regardless of the negative things going around us. So we stay seated in Christ, stand strong against the devil, and run our race while walking out our journey.

Hebrews 12:1 (AMPC) 12 Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,

We cannot expect our world to stop for us or others when we are facing problems. It’s normal to want the world to stop when we feel helpless and hopeless. When we feel like that it is time to stay seated in Christ and rest in Him, stand against the enemy, and continue to walk in love. When we get to the point of accomplishing that, we have truly grown. Growth does not happen overnight and is not easy, but do not let stumbling blocks and mistakes keep you down. The more mature we become in Christ the less we let our problems derail us from going on living life.

If you don’t make it today, try again tomorrow! Stand firmly holding your ground!

Ephesians 6:14 (AMPC) 14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
