It is up to us to teach others about the love of God not to criticize them because they are not like us

Romans 14:12 (AMPC) 12 And so each of us shall give an account of himself [give an answer in reference to judgment] to God.

When we judge others that do things we don’t – it can steal our happiness and peace. We tend to judge others by their appearance. I’m not going to give an account for these people but only for myself. How can we possibly judge how a person’s heart is by making a decision based off of their looks? If we really want to show the love of God, we will meet people where they are at. It is up to us to teach others about the love of God not to criticize them because they are not like us.

Some of the meanest people I’ve met in life are religious people. I have been hurt so deeply by religious family and friends. They will try to find a biblical passage to meet every opinion they have from tattoos to make-up to jewelry. They twist the bible to meet their opinion. It is up to me to realize that all religious people are not like that. But remember when you are out in the world do you want to be the religious hypocrite or do you want to show the true love of God?

James 1:26 (AMPC) 26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religious service is worthless (futile, barren).

If I have a good friend about to get into adultery of course I will have conversations with them and pray for them to be able to resist the temptation. But if they want to dye their hair blue that is no concern of me. When we start to bicker and blab about things that really do not matter that is when we start to see friends and family members that don’t want to come around us. It is also when we begin to lose our joy and peace.

God sees a person’s heart and God knows everything. There is no possible way we know what is going on internally in someone’s spirit and the battles they face each day. We can change our lives and the lives of others when we accept people where they are at on the way to where they are going.

Matthew 23:13 (AMPC) 13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces; for you neither enter yourselves, nor do you allow those who are about to go in to do so.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
