Colossians 3:23 (AMPC) 23 Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,
We can enjoy life each and every day. This means enjoying life in the fun times and the times of trial. It’s enjoying life through the menial things in life. Why dread things we have to do during the day if we have to do those things anyway. That dread only steals our joy. When we learn to change our attitude about our daily life we will begin to see changes in our life.
Our attitude belongs to us. Nobody can make us have a bad attitude – it is our choice. Life and people can steal from you but they cannot steal your attitude if you do not let them. Imagine how different your life could be or even your day if you could get through the day without thinking negative thoughts.
Feelings are fickle, they change moment by moment. Feelings cannot be relied upon. We cannot let our fickle feelings boss us around and determine our attitude. We may not be able to help how we feel but we do not have to act according to our feelings. God created us with free will and that includes our attitude. When we feel that negative feeling creeping up on us it is up to us not to react to it or to do what we can to turn it into a positive thought.
Learn to enjoy life in the now – not wait to enjoy it when things change. When we wait to enjoy things, the simple joys will pass us by in life. What a shame to go through life without experiencing the simple little joys that are available to us each and every day.
Colossians 3:17 (AMPC) 17 And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him. We can learn to do everything we do unto the Lord.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
