We can do whatever we want to, but we have to remember there are always consequences

3 John 2 (AMP) Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].

Jesus is our healer. We need to have a healthy soul to have a healthy mind and a healthy body. We cannot ignore our mind, body, or spirit when it needs healing. When one of those are not healthy it can negatively impact the other. If we have been physically sick for a long time it can start to impact our mind and we become depressed. If we are sick in our mind we can become physically ill. When our spirit is ill we can make wrong decisions that impact our mind and body.

Getting well and staying well takes effort on our part. God can give us miracles but if that continually happens we never learn how to take care of ourselves. We have responsibility for the well-being of our own lives. Sometimes we have gotten so far off the track it seems impossible to get back on track. It is not impossible, it may be difficult, but it is not impossible. It will take discipline and determination – which can be difficult.

It is time to start investing with our lives rather than gambling with our lives. We can do whatever we want to, but we have to remember there are always consequences. Even though we can do many things it does not mean we have to do those things. When we start a bad habit we can become a slave to it. Refuse to be brought under the power of bad habits.

1 Corinthians 6:12 (AMP) 12 Everything is permissible for me, but not all things are beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be enslaved by anything [and brought under its power, allowing it to control me].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
