We cannot change what has happened in the past – the only thing we can do is change how we act today

Romans 1:17 (AMP) 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith.”

Regrets are pointless. They do nothing but waste our time. We cannot change what has happened in the past – the only thing we can do is change how we act today. We have to get to the point of accepting our mistakes and do what we can to not let those mistakes keep us living in regret.

When we live in our mind we are living in torment. When our mind and thoughts become overwhelming we have to have somewhere to go. God is the place we can go to. Sometimes we need to stop focusing on what is in our mind to what is in our heart. When we focus on what is in our heart and our good intentions in the midst of the mistakes we make we can begin to walk more in the spirit rather than walking in our mind and feelings.

Life can change dramatically when we know that God loves us no matter what. God loves us regardless of our past and of our mistakes. It takes faith and relationship with God to understand that love – but God loves us right where we are at on this given day. God loves you! God works everything out for good!

Romans 8:28 (AMP) 28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
