Listen to what God’s word has to say about you and not what everyone else says about you

Romans 14:17 (AMP) 17 for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [what one likes], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Jesus died so we can have an intimate relationship with God. Who is God? When you understand who God is, you begin to want to have that relationship with God. God is peace. The devil does not bring peace, but Jesus brings us righteousness peace and joy.

The more we let God govern our lives, the more peace we will have. We can try to run our own lives and not have much peace. When we let God run our lives we will start to experience the peace we are looking for in life.

2 Amplified Bible (AMP) 16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all.

We do not have to agree with everyone in the world to have peace. We can accept the differences of others and still have peace. Not everyone needs to be like us or agree with us in order for us to have peace. We do not have to be like everyone else and we should not expect everyone else to be like us. Listen to what God’s word has to say about you and not what everyone else says about you.

1 Peter 3:11 (AMP) 1 1“He must turn away from wickedness and do what is right. He must search for peace [with God, with self, with others] and pursue it eagerly [actively—not merely desiring it].

Not only should we have peace with others, but it is equally important to have peace with ourselves. One way to have peace with ourselves is to forgive ourselves. We cannot always look at what we are doing wrong or we will never have peace with ourselves. We cannot compare ourselves with others and compete with others and expect to have peace in life. We will never be free if we are constantly competing with someone else. Love the person you were created to be.

Make a decision to like yourself. When you can learn to laugh at yourself and your imperfections you can really start to enjoy life a little bit.

John 14:27 (AMP) 27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
