Ephesians 6:12-13 (AMP) 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. 13 Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].
Our battle is not with our circumstances and people, but with the Devil. The Devil works through circumstances and people to steal our life. We do not fight evil with evil, but we fight evil with good. When we are fighting evil we are not alone. God is by our side and is fighting our battle with us. No matter what is happening in our lives God loves us and is not the source of our problems. The devil would love for us to blame God for everything going wrong in our lives.
It is time to be strong. One way to maintain our strength is to stop thinking and talking about our problems all of the time. Talking about our problems will not solve them. It’s okay to share things and get some encouragement but be careful not to constantly talk and think about them. Do what needs to be done and trust God to do what you cannot do. Sometimes it helps to let God do what He can then we can focus on enjoying life – rather than thinking about the negative situations in front of us. While we are trusting God to act, we can do what we need to do. Make your mind up that you will enjoy your life regardless of what your circumstances are.
There are bad things that happen that we can do absolutely nothing about. It is more peaceful for us if we decide to put our trust in God in those situations rather than worry and obsess about what is going on in life. We have to stand strong against the Devil and not let situations steal our life from us. We are not defined by our circumstances but rather, how we respond to our circumstances.
You are the only one that can make a decision for yourself to start enjoying your life. Enjoying life is not necessarily a feeling we have but something we have to be diligent about. The more we begin to enjoy life, the easier it is to start dealing with our problems because we begin to look at things with a more positive outlook rather than a negative outlook.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
