1 Thessalonians 5:20 (AMP)20 Do not scorn or reject gifts of prophecy or prophecies [spoken revelations—words of instruction or exhortation or warning].
God has given us each great gifts and we either don’t recognize it or get jealous of others who have different gifts. We can even scorn gifts of others. How do we do that? By condemning those who may believe a little different than we do based on the interpretation of some of the things in the bible. It is time to stop dividing by religions and come together and worship the one God we all have. We all have different and unique gifts. Rather than scorn the gifts of others, appreciate the fact that God has made us all different so we can work together to further the kingdom of God. We do not have to understand the gifts of others to appreciate them.
It’s time to let go of all animosity and negative feelings. We have the power of the Holy Spirit inside of us to live a life filled with joy, peace and love.
1 John 4:11-12 (AMP) 11 Beloved, if God so loved us [in this incredible way], we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. But if we love one another [with unselfish concern], God abides in us, and His love [the love that is His essence abides in us and] is completed and perfected in us.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
