John 16:7 (AMP) 7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
Having the Holy Spirit in our lives is a blessing. God will make us new on the inside with the help of the Holy Spirit who is inside of us. Making us new is not all bells and whistles. Sometimes making us good on the inside means we have to work those bad things out.
We all want to be good and do well and sometimes we need a little help from God to become good. I know I do anyways. It’s a lot easier to do well and be good when we have God as our partner. The Holy Spirit will teach us how to behave. A lot of us have a lot of information by reading the bible, but we have to actually learn how to apply those principles to our lives.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
