Matthew 5:3 (AMP) 3 Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied, and [b]spiritually prosperous—[c]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
A humble person is not afraid to ask for help when they need help. They are quick to forgive, difficult to offend, and happy to wait on God for vindication. A humble person is patient with the weakness of other people. A humble person is a peace maker and someone who is addicted to peace in their life. A humble person knows when to be quiet when to apologize, and can see their own weaknesses and readily admit them.
Everything we can do well is a gift of God’s grace in our life. We need to be thankful for the things we do well rather than judge others who cannot do things like we do. A great attitude to have is patience toward people who cannot do things like you do. We tend to forget how needy we have been in situations that required patience from others and how grateful we were that someone showed patience.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
