There comes a time when we have to make a decision about our future and how we want to act in life

Ephesians 4:22-24 (AMP) 22 Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; 23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

There comes a time when we have to make a decision about our future and how we want to act in life. The simplicity of the above bible verse is stop acting like we used to and to start acting like we should be acting. Seems easy to say but hard to do. In order to do this we have to look at verse 23 and be constantly renewed in the spirit of our mind.

There are people who do things on purpose to make things happen and those who kind of wait for things to happen. Sometimes those who wait for things to happen will wait to do something when it might be easier and sometimes become jealous of other who have what they do not have. It is time to be purposeful with the things we do in life. We don’t always have to wait to feel like doing something. We can do something because it is the right thing to do. When we do the right thing, we will get a right result.

There is power in our attitude. Our attitude can change everything. A good attitude will keep us happy and give us a good life. Sometimes on purpose we have to choose to have a good attitude – we have to be purposeful to make it happen or we can be passive and see if it will happen. We have the power to make the choice. Just because we purpose to have a good attitude – it doesn’t mean we feel like having a good attitude but it means we make the right decision because we know we can have all that God says we can have.

When we have a good attitude we will have a great life, when we have a bad attitude we might have a bad life. Why choose to live a miserable life when you don’t have to? We can have some really stinky things happen to life where things are really bad and we are treated unfairly. It is especially at those times that we have to dig deep into our faith and choose to have a good attitude.

Maintaining a good attitude is something we need to practice every single day.

Revelation 3:19 (AMP) 19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
