Lamentations 3:40 (AMP) 40 Let us test and examine our ways, and let us return to the Lord!
We always have an opportunity to repent and return to the Lord. We ask God to help us grow so we can begin to see weak areas in our life. Sometimes we get weak in one area or another – and that is normal. God will help us to get back on track when we get weak in one area or another. Sometimes we have to be reminded that we might be sinning because we tend to listen to our friends more than what the bible says – it is a way to justify our actions. Bottom line is each of us is going to give an account to God on our own actions.
1 Corinthians 11:28 (AMP) 28 Let a man [thoroughly] examine himself, and [only when he has done] so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
It is easy to have a causal relationship with God. This says to examine ourselves before we fellowship with God. Know yourself and your weaknesses and confess them with God and ask God to help you. And guess what, He will. When we are completely honest with God about our weaknesses, he will help us. We cannot hide our sinning and weaknesses from God. Even when we are not aware of them, He is. God will help us to enter into a deeper relationship with Him, but we have to have the desire and recognize the need to do so.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
