Unless we see ourselves as a sinner, then we will not understand the true power of forgiveness

Philippians 2:15 (AMP)15 That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world,

We are to be light in a dark world. Sometimes as Christians we appear as if we just sucked a lemon. I don’t want to live with a lemon face but rather a happy face.

It can feel as if God is a set of rules and regulations. Sometimes God does not have a good reputation in the world because of the way Christians act. It’s a shame that the world disrespects God because of human behavior. Every single one of us make mistakes Christians and non-Christians. We as Christians need to remember that when speaking with non-Christians and non-Christians need to remember that when calling a Christian hypocritical.

As a Christian it is equally important not to judge and criticize every single person who does something different that we do. That is not Godly love. God’s love is so great for the sinner that He sent Jesus to save each and every one of us. We all sin, just in different ways. I am so thankful that God loved me enough to send His son so I can be forgiven for my sins.

Unless we see ourselves as a sinner, then we will not understand the true power of forgiveness. We all sin – everyone – just in different ways. There are no conditions for God loving us – love is just who God is and what He does. It is time we remove conditions for how we love others. God will give us victory over sin, bondages, bad habits, pain or any other thing we feel in life.

1 Corinthians 15:56-57 (AMP) 56 Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power [a][upon the soul] through [b][the abuse of] the Law. 57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
