The way we develop faith is by having to use it

Matthew 6:25-34 (AMP) 25 Therefore I tell you, stop being [a]perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the [b]span of his life? 28 And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and [c]learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin. 29 Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his [d]magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? 32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. 33 But seek ([e]aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([f]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [g]taken together will be given you besides. 34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.

Are you uptight all the time? A lot of us have times when we are kind of that way all of the time. It is great if you are a person who is not uptight all of the time. If you are not uptight you likely know someone who is. We can maintain an easygoing attitude. It may not be easy but we can do it.

There is a holy ease we can live with. Things are not going to be easy in life for anyone. But with when things are difficult we can handle difficult situations knowing God will help us handle difficulties with ease. God will always take care of our situations.

One thing that gets us upset is not knowing how God is going to handle situations in life. God is not ever late – but He usually doesn’t seem to be early. The way we develop faith is by having to use it in situations we are waiting for God to act in.

We always want our circumstances and people to change in order to be happy. I have a revelation – the world will not change. There will always be people and circumstances that irritate us. Although we cannot change the circumstances of the world, we can change our attitude and ourselves about the circumstances around us. We can’t do anything about something we can’t do anything about. When we stop trying to fight battles we can do nothing about we just might find a little more peace and happiness in our life – we may even find that we are able to relax a little bit more.

We can grow to the point where we can handle anything that comes our way and not let us change the way we behave. We do not have to change our behavior based on our circumstances.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
