Romans 14:12 (AMP) 12 And so each of us shall give an account of himself [give an answer in reference to judgment] to God.
If I think God exists and he doesn’t I haven’t really lost anything. If I don’t think he exists and he does, I’d be really disappointed. I personally do not want to take a chance on weeping and gnashing of teeth and the horrible things that is waiting in hell.
It is important for us to know about the goodness of God. But, it also important for us to know what the results are if we do not live a life that glorifies God. None of us know how much time we have here on earth. You will never be sorry if you open up your heart to God but you might be sorry if you do not.
John 3:18 (AMP) 18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]
What do you put your trust in? Money, people, self? We are to put our trust in God. When we trust in God our judgment day might look different from those who do not trust in God. I personally want to take no chances in this area of being wrong.
God does not reject or condemn me for the mistakes I make. That’s awesome news because I make a lot of mistakes. God is here and God is with us right now. He is with us all day long. Your relationship with God is between you and God. One thing to know is that God is for us and with us. God is not against us. God is delighted to help us and to love us. We are able to do all things through Christ who gives us strength.
God is a mystery and cannot be figured out – but we do see results of what he does in little and big things each and every day. The key is recognizing those things! We spend so much time complaining about what God is not doing we fail to recognize the things that he is doing. Don’t overlook the small blessing in life!
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
