Do what you can in a situation and pray for the things you can’t

John 14:12-13 (AMP) 12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as [a]presenting all that I Am], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.

How can we do greater things then Jesus? Jesus was human in one body and when he died his spirit is in many bodies all over the world. We cannot be lazy in doing what God wants us to do in our lives. There are so many things we can be doing in life that we tend to think it is some other Christian’s responsibility. Don’t get me wrong we are all gifted differently, but if you know what you have been gifted for, then pursue God’s will for your life aggressively and with vigor.

A lot of times we wondering why things are not happening in life. The question is are we praying for those things around us that we are wondering about? Great things happen with prayer but we have to first remember to pray. Sometimes we get lazy when it comes to our prayer life. It is a habit that can be formed with practice.

Are we praying for something that we can do something about. Sometime we have the ability to do something for someone and choose to look the other way. Do what you can in a situation and pray for the things you can’t.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
