Love Heals

Matthew 7:1-3 (AMP) 7 Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you. Why do you [a]stare from without at the [b]very small particle that is in your brother’s eye but do not become aware of and consider the beam [c]of timber that is in your own eye?

We have so many problems of our own and sometimes we are so busy looking to what is wrong with everyone else that we forget to look at ourselves. It is time we look at others with love rather than criticism. We have the ability to love people. We also have the ability to be fault-finding and critical. It is up to us how we treat others. We can go to them with a religious hypocritical attitude or we can go to them with a caring and loving attitude. Love will help them heal. When we have a critical attitude and start judging someone we can really set them back in their journey. Do you want to hurt someone or help them heal?

At the end of the day, we will reap what we sow. God has got our number. If we have a prayer group and we say we want to pray about sister or brother so and so and then share their faults and weaknesses are we saying it with the heart of love or the heart of gossip. It is really important that we know ourselves enough to know what our motives are in those types of situations.

Isaiah 58:9 (AMP) Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, Here I am. If you take away from your midst yokes of oppression [wherever you find them], the finger pointed in scorn [toward the oppressed or the godly], and every form of false, harsh, unjust, and wicked speaking,

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
