Staying in unforgiveness and offense will eat us alive

1 John 3:14Amplified Bible (AMP) We know that we have passed over out of death into Life by the fact that we love the brethren (our fellow Christians). He who does not love abides (remains, is [a]held and kept continually) in [spiritual] death.

If we do not learn to love others, we will be full of bitterness and spiritual death. When we learn to love people it will change our outlook on life completely. It is time to start believing the best about people and time to forgive people. Staying in unforgiveness and offense will eat us alive. It may not seem fair, but was it fair that Jesus had to die on the cross?

God is a God of justice and will make things right when we put our trust in Him. The world really needs to see love. We have to know how to walk in love, not just talk about loving others. Talk is cheap these days and it is time for Christians to stand up and show the love we preach about. Kids today need to see real people with real actions.

It’s tough to get to the point to walk out love that we hear in our sermons each week. To be spiritually healthy we have to dedicate our lives to Jesus and learn to do things His way instead of our own way. God has given us what we need to live an amazing Godly life. We have everything we need – it is all in us. It is time we tap into that power by learning more about God’s word.

2 Peter 1:3-7 (AMP) For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [[a]full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature. For this very reason, [b]adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in [c]exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
