1 Thessalonians 2:4 (AMP) 4 But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the glad tidings (the Gospel), so we speak not to please men but to please God, Who tests our hearts [[a]expecting them to be approved].
We all can identify with things that we know we are doing that probably do not please God. But the important thing is we recognize it and make the changes we need to make. The more we do things to please God the happier we will be. When we please God there are parts of our flesh that will suffer – but there are also parts of our spirit that will prosper and grow. Spiritual maturity is a process and we should not expect it to happen every night.
The devil will use rejection as a way to keep you from progressing. You will never reach that next step of spiritual maturity if you do not make the decision to stop following the lead of people, step out in faith and follow God’s leading in your life. Doing so will be difficult for us. We need to continue in the face of difficulty and go through with God. Eventually things that were once difficult for us will no longer be difficult.
Isaiah 41:10 (AMP) 10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.
Continue on your path of doing right. No matter how people treat you when you are deciding to follow God’s lead just remember that God is on your side.
Psalm 118:6 (AMP) 6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
