It is time we stop looking for approval of people and pursue approval from God

Isaiah 8:13 (AMP) 13 The Lord of hosts—regard Him as holy and honor His holy name [by regarding Him as your only hope of safety], and let Him be your fear and let Him be your dread [lest you offend Him by your fear of man and distrust of Him].

Never, ever, let a person’s approval mean more than God’s approval. Insecurity will make us follow the lead of people rather than God. How offensive that must be to God. God wants to do amazing and wonderful things in our lives. God doesn’t want us to let people manipulate and control us. People may not even realize they are manipulating us. We may not even realize they are doing it. We have to know who we are and who we are in Christ to set boundaries in friendships and to be confident enough to make Christ decisions when we have folks in our lives who have strong personalities.

Make the decision today to be a follower or Christ rather than a follower of people. We get so concerned about what people will think of us that we tend to get confused in situations. It is time we stop looking for approval of people and pursue approval from God. When we decide to follow Jesus we may lose some of our friends. There’s nothing more satisfying then pursuing the person God created us to be.

Making a decision to confront fear will not mean we will not feel fear. The only way to conquer fear is to confront it. We must keep going forward in the face a fear and put the devil in his place.

Galatians 1:10 (AMP) 10 Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
