We are not going to get help from God if we cannot admit that we need help

Psalm 109:22Amplified Bible (AMP) 22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded and stricken within me.

The world is filled with wounded people who do not know who they are. People wear masks and act as if everything is okay while they are dying on the inside. God wants us to get honest with ourselves and be a real person who is confident in who we are in Christ.

It is okay to not be okay. We seem to not want others to think that we do not have it all together all of the time. We are not going to get help from God if we cannot admit that we need help. Ask God to open your eyes in areas you are deceived so you can see the truth.

James 5:16Amplified Bible (AMP) 16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

We know we are to confess our sins to God. But sometimes it is good to talk to someone else to get things out. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find someone to talk to who will keep your secrets, but there are people out there like that. If you have no friends like that then counselors are bound by law to keep secrets. Sometimes we just need to vent and get some things out.

Secrets can make us feel lonely. We keep secrets because we may be afraid of what others will think about us if they know some things. Secrets buried alive will never die, they will just continually eat at us over and over again. It will be helpful and freeing to get some of your secrets out so you can heal. It can be a humbling experience to share secrets but it is through humility that we heal.

Often when we have problems we blame others for rather than looking deep into our own behaviors. Don’t blame others for your problems. Bad things that have happened to us is not our fault but if we choose to let those things control our behavior and our future then it is our fault. We do not have to live with pain from our past. It is time we face the pain from our past and progress to a great future.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
