We have to power to choose happy for our day regardless of our circumstances

John 10:10 (AMP) 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows).

It is time we form a habit of being happy. People are as happy as they make their mind up to be. If we wait until our circumstances are better before we become happy we may never get there. Everybody has problems and not everybody is unhappy. We have to power to choose happy for our day regardless of our circumstances. This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad! We will not be happy until we make the decision to be happy.

If we wake up grouchy and mean it is likely we created that habit some time in our past. Just like we create a grouchy habit we can create a new habit and re-set our mind to be joyful. The key is as soon as you start to feel negative refuse to let that negative thought take hold of your mind.

It is okay to enjoy life in the midst of problems. It seems like we think if we are dealing with something or have big problems in life that we should not or cannot enjoy life. We can enjoy ourselves in our imperfect state. Instead of focusing on our imperfections, enjoy the fact that you are maturing. Look for the good not the bad. God does not expect perfection from us or He never would have sent Jesus as our savior.

If you are not happy, maybe it is time to evaluate whether or not you are doing what you need to be doing in life. We cannot be afraid to do something different or to change. Happiness can change our life. When we wait for circumstances or people to make us happy we never fulfil what is inside of us. We have to know what it is that we need on the inside to be a truly happy person. We have to take responsibility for our own joy.

Romans 14:17 (AMP) 17 [After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
