Feeling fear doesn’t make you a coward, not doing things afraid does

Isaiah 41:10 (AMP) 10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

Fear not only steals from us but it also brings torment in our lives. Fear will keep us from progress. We will feel fear, but it doesn’t mean we cannot confront it. Freedom from fear means we do not let fear control us when we start feeling intimidated by it. We can have courage in the face of fear. It is time we learn to do some things afraid. Feeling fear doesn’t make you a coward, not doing things afraid does.

Deuteronomy 3:22 (AMP) 22 You shall not fear them, for the Lord your God shall fight for you.

Faith will conquer fear. The more we confront fear the weaker it will get in our life. God is there to help us confront what we need to confront but we cannot just pray fear away, we must confront it. God is our partner in this. Fear makes us thinks things that will happen that may not ever happen. We let fear torment us and keep us from moving forward.

We do not need to fear that troubles and trials will come because they will. We all have them. We need to stop fearing things that we know are going to happen anyway. We conquer fear one day at a time and one step at a time. Things may not always go the way as planned, but tomorrow is a new day to step out and do it afraid again.

Psalm 27:3 (AMP) Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
