2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (AMP) 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, 5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),
It is time we start talking back to the devil when he tries to attack our minds. The devil will constantly put nagging thoughts in our mind of suspicion, doubt, fear, reasoning’s, and other well laid out plans. There is no mistake to the thoughts the devil puts in our heads. We have strongholds in our mind – even though certain things we think may not be true, we tend to believe the thoughts in our head.
The more we know the word of God, the less likely we will be deceived by the attack from the devil. We are in a war with the Devil and we can defeat the enemy with positive thoughts. Renewing the thoughts is a process – it doesn’t just happen overnight, especially if you have had a pattern of negative thinking for years. Spiritual maturity takes lots of time, and we will never be fully mature so be patient on your journey of right thinking.
When we continually have negative thoughts we have to get with God and ask Him to do what He can do with our negative thinking. It is time to renew our mind. If things in the day seem to go bad in the day, ask yourself where your thoughts have gone that day. We can turn our day around just by thinking good thoughts
Some of us need more help from God than others in this area. God will help us in any area of our life if we ask Him to. With the help of God we can change our thinking and we can change it consistently. We all make mistakes and will continue to make them. Just because we make a mistakes it doesn’t mean we have to live in self-condemnation but ask for forgiveness, learn from the lesson and move on with a positive attitude and positive thinking. You can enjoy every moment of yourself and your life on your journey.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:
Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen
