In the end it is God that matters

Luke 10:27 (AMP) 27 And he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

God loves us and it is that simple. He loves us where we are at. We need to learn to love ourselves. We are stuck with ourselves for a long time so we it’s important to learn to like who we are.

Love helps us to find our self-worth. We all want to know we matter and mean something to somebody. Unfortunately some people don’t have a great start in life and search their entire life for self-worth. They search in their surroundings rather than inside. A great job and fine clothes do not define our self-worth. These things may make us look more valuable to the world, but not God. In the end it is God that matters. When we get worth and value in what people think of us – our destiny is derailed. It takes us off of the path of fulfilling God’s call on our life because we are confused about what is important.

Because we receive God’s love we can show love to other people and show them the same kindness and mercy that has been shown to us. Loving people is about forgiving and being merciful toward them. God never expects us to do something He doesn’t equip us to do. We are often good at talking about love and Jesus to other people but are we good about actually showing and being love to other people?

John 13:34-35 (AMP) 34 I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].

If you would like to accept Jesus as your savior, and you are not quite sure how, it is as simple as saying a prayer to God letting Him know you are ready to accept Him into your life. Say this prayer if you would like to invite Jesus to live in your heart:

Father God, I love you and believe in you. I need you Lord and I am sorry for my sins and the way that I live. Lord, I want you in my life. I receive Jesus as my savior and Lord. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Lord take me as I am and make me the way you want me to be. God, thank you for saving me and being with me on my journey. I am looking forward to my journey with you Lord. I know you will equip me for my journey and I am glad I have you by my side as I walk this walk of Life. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
