God cannot work in our lives if we do not let Him

Galatians 3:10 (AMP) 10 And all who depend on the Law [who are seeking to be justified by obedience to the Law of rituals] are under a curse and doomed to disappointment and destruction, for it is written in the Scriptures, Cursed (accursed, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment) be everyone who does not continue to abide (live and remain) by all the precepts and commands written in the Book of the Law and to practice them.

We tend to read the bible like a set of laws and overlook that the bible is a book of promise for us. The bible says what is in store for us as we hang in there with God and work with Him to improve our lives based on the Word of God. It is by grace we are made whole, not by our actions. Having the relationship with God and knowing what the promise of God can make us want to live a better life because we love God.

We tend not to rely on God because we might have a little bit of pride inside of us. God can’t work in our lives if we do not let Him and think we can handle our situations on our own.  Understanding God and God’s love will make you want to make better choices in life.  Love first, actions will follow.

1 Peter 5:5 (AMP) Likewise, you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church)—[giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, [a]so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)—[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.

Letting go of self so Jehovah can mold us into the child He desires is the hardest but best choice we can make.
