Joshua 1:8 (AMP) 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good [a]success.
Psalm 1:2-3 (AMP) 2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. 3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
Whatever you are thinking in your mind is what will eventually end up happening in your life. If you want different results in life then you may need to change your thinking a little bit. Our thoughts are so, so powerful. It is impossible to change our life if we do not first change our thoughts. The Devil uses our thoughts to keep us from fulfilling God’s destiny for our lives. The devil will make us think we are justified for our wrong thoughts. We cannot be passive about letting negative thoughts enter our mind.
We have to be aggressive about replacing good thoughts with bad thoughts. It takes effort. We can renew our mind by meditating on the Word. We have to do our part to know what the Word says over our lives and then take action based off of what the Word says about our lives. We will have success if we do not give up and remain adamant about forming new habits in the area of our thought life.
The more you change your thinking the more you will see things change in your life. Living a peaceful life is up to us. We have to search for peace and actively pursue it.
1 Peter 3:11 (AMP) 11 Let him turn away from wickedness and shun it, and let him do right. Let him search for peace (harmony; undisturbedness from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts) and seek it eagerly. [Do not merely desire peaceful relations with God, with your fellowmen, and with yourself, but pursue, go after them!]
