God loves us the way we are. Mistakes, addictions, bad behavior and all

Psalm 103:8-9 (AMP)The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness. He will not always chide or be contending, neither will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge.

We cannot depend on doing everything right (the law) to get approval by God.  Making good choices for God is a great thing, but we make good choices because we love God, not to get God’s approval.  God loves us the way we are.  Mistakes, addictions, bad behavior and all.  God loves us.

God is not angry at us for things that we have done in life.  God is pleased with us when we trust and believe in Him.  God may not like all of the choices we make in life and some of the things we do but that does not change the fact that God loves us.  When we think God is angry at us it might prevent us from receiving what He has in store for us.  God knows what decisions we will make in life.  Jesus knew what it was like to walk in our footsteps.  It is time to realize that God loves us where we are at in our current walk in life.

God is not looking for perfect performance from us but He is looking for us to have a relationship with Him and to Love Him.  Jesus died for us while we were sinners.  God loved us enough to send His son to die for us – sin and all.  That is pure love.  God loves us.

Zephaniah 3:17 (AMP) 17 The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
