Without opposition we would not know what faith is

Hebrews 11:6 (AMP)But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

Without faith we cannot walk in God’s plan for our lives.  Grace bought our blessings, our faith simply asks for the blessings that Jesus bought for us with His blood.  There is nothing we can do to deserve blessing but God is just that good that He wants to reward us.  What a great God we have that He wants to bless us and we do not even deserve it.

God is good and keeps His word.  It may not seem like God is working in our lives but He is, even when we don’t hear from Him or we don’t feel His presence.  Not matter how we feel we need to remain faithful that God is working.  Sometimes we need a little opposition to increase our faith.  Without opposition we would not know what faith is.  Opposition builds our faith and our character.  Don’t let opposition keep you from moving forward.

Faith is a simple as believing that God is working in our lives for our own good.  We tend to try to get what we are believing for on our own rather than waiting for God.  We simply just need to believe to get our prayers answered.  Faith is simply believing.

John 6:28-29 (AMP)28 They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?] 29 Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger].

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.

Although we may have faith, we need the Holy Spirits guidance in the right kind of faith. If I have faith that a terminally ill relative will get up and be cured by faith alone that is unrealistic.

Yes oppostion will create a battle of faith, however when it is Christ centered it wil always win.

May you be blessed with faith of Abraham

  2. If God gave us what we all deserved, could you even imagine how awful that would be?! I am humbled and thankful that God loves me more and blesses me beyond what my life’s history would dictate. Blessings, Lisa.
