God knows our heart, but the world sees our behavior

Luke 4:5-8 (AMP) Then the devil took Him up to a high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time [[a]in the twinkling of an eye]. And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to whomever I will. Therefore if You will do homage to and worship me [[b]just once], it shall all be Yours. And Jesus replied to him, [c]Get behind Me, Satan! It is written, You shall do homage to and worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.

We all face opportunity to compromise in life.  The lines in what is acceptable and what is not can be a bit blurry.  It’s important as we are out in the world showing God’s love that we remain stable with our Christian values and not come across as judgmental to others but come across as loving people where they are.  Our behavior speaks much louder than our words.

It can be tough to be Godly in an ungodly world.  It’s a challenge to not come across as religious when you share God’s word with others.  Sometimes we can really say things to hurting people that does not comfort that person at all.  We need to be sensitive to those who do not know God and show them God’s love without compromising our own behavior.

God knows our heart, but the world sees our behavior.  We are the advertisement for God.  We can be happy, peaceful and loving people and show that we are.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
