We can experience happiness for our spirit but it may be giving up a few things the flesh wants

Psalm 73:28 (AMP)28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.

God is a magnet in our spirit that is drawing our thoughts and behavior to that magnet.  When we make a mistake it’s like we feel repelled from that magnet.  God wants our flesh, our mind, our behavior to be attached to that magnet in our spirit.  Sometimes we have obstacles that keep our behavior from attaching to that magnet.

We need to know the ways of God and surrender all that we are to God.  The more we strive to know more about God the more we are drawn to that magnet inside of us.  We want to do things the way God wants us to because we are drawn to doing right.  Even when we make mistakes that magnet is still inside of us – it never goes away.

Joy and peace can be normal for us when we learn to live our life for God and not listen to our flesh on what it wants to do.  If we don’t deny our flesh we may never experience the life that Jesus died for us to live.  Our will inside of us can be very strong.

Romans 8:6 (AMP) Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that [a]comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
