Psalm 27:4 (AMP) 4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
Our time with God each day is very important to get our mind right for the day. When we spend time with God we get fueled for the next 24 hours. When you start to spend time with God everyday things in your life will start to fall in place. The Devil will do everything he can to make sure we do not have time to spend time with God every day. All of us have the same 24 hours and what we choose to do in that 24 hours is up to us individually.
It may be difficult to get into the habit to spend time with God daily, but once the habit is developed it won’t be so tough anymore. We spend time in our day with what is most important to us. How important is it for you to spend time with God daily? It doesn’t have to be a lot of time but enough time to let Him know He’s important to you and you could not live your life without him.
Decisions you make in the morning can impact your entire day. That is why I choose to spend my time with God in the morning. It sets my attitude for the entire day. We can set our mind in the morning to have a good day or a bad day. Just because you spill your coffee when you wake up it doesn’t mean you are going to have a bad day – it just means you spilled your coffee. However you can create a bad day by thinking it will be a bad day because it started off with you spilling your coffee. You can make the choice of how you react to that coffee spill.
We all have bad days and wish our day would have started differently once in a while. It is important that we don’t waste our days. It is foolish to waste any day we have. We should live every day like it is our very last day.
Psalm 118:24 (AMP)24 This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 100:4 (AMP)4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!
