Look away from distractions in life and look at what you have today at this very moment

Ecclesiastes 5:1 (AMP)Keep your foot [give your mind to what you are doing] when you go [as Jacob to sacred Bethel] to the house of God. For to draw near to hear and obey is better than to give the sacrifice of fools [carelessly, irreverently] too ignorant to know that they are doing evil.

When we wander we have no direction in where we are going – we lack clarity in our direction.  We have to keep our mind on what we are doing so we maintain focus in our direction.  In order to keep our mind on what we are doing we may need to slow down a little bit.  Sometimes we let our life run us rather than us running our life.  We cannot enjoy our life when we don’t have our mind on the moment but what we have to do in the future.

We are always going to have distractions in life when we are trying to focus on what we need to focus on.  Distractions are always there.  Don’t let distractions and a busy lifestyle steal your enjoyment of the current situation you are in.  We miss so many little opportunities of enjoyment because our lifestyles are way too hectic.  The sad thing is we created that chaotic lifestyle ourselves many (I’d almost say most) times.

Look away from distractions in life and look at what you have today at this very moment.  Love life – it loves you!

Mark 4:19 (AMP)19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.

About lisajohnson401

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.

Too many people are in a hurry to go no where to do nothing important.
I always stop and ask What do You want me to do my Beloved. It may not be what I want to do but when I stay focused I understand why and am glad I obeyed
