Proverbs 6:16-19 (AMP) 16 These six things the Lord hates, indeed, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look [the spirit that makes one overestimate himself and underestimate others], a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who breathes out lies [even under oath], and he who sows discord among his brethren.
We should not look down on somebody who cannot do well the same things we do well. Sometimes we tend to make people feel bad for not being able to do things we do with ease. It’s important to remember how we feel when someone makes us feel bad when we do not do something as well as they do.
Pride is something we should fight against in our everyday life. It’s okay to have weaknesses. If we didn’t have any weaknesses we wouldn’t need God. We need to get to a point where we are comfortable with our weaknesses. We really cannot experience true freedom when we are busy trying to impress everyone with our abilities. Once we accept our weaknesses and are comfortable with them, then we can experience a great sense of freedom and joy in our lives.
