Romans 4:18-20 (AMP) 18 [For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be. 19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb. 20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,
When doubt came to Abraham, he gave praise to God. He didn’t stop believing what God had promised to him. It is so easy to doubt and go the way we feel. When there is a battle in our mind the best way to stop that doubt is to fight the doubt with the Words of the bible – the promises that God has left for us. We can speak those promises over our life when we feel doubt. The bible is our weapon against doubt.
When we war against doubt we are growing. We may not get what we want when we think we need it, but we will get what God thinks is best for us.
