Use words wisely to find happiness

James 1:26 (AMP)  26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religious service is worthless (futile, barren).

A lot of Christians may be saved but they may need to notify their mouths. (~Joyce Meyer)

There is no way I can control my tongue without God’s help and I have to ask God for help with this on a daily basis.  Words have power.  Our words can impact a lot of things in our lives.  We can increase our joy by choosing our words wisely.  Our words not only affect our joy but the joy others around us have.  We have to be accountable for our words.

Some people see themselves as so spiritually mature and the look down and speak poorly about those who are not where they are in life.   We can bless or curse others with our words.  We reap what we sow.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
