Love the way you want to be loved

John 13:34-35 (AMP) 34 I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].

It is so important that we love people and people know that we genuinely love them. Love is seen by how we treat people – even people who annoy us and people who we are not trying to impress.

It is time for us to get out in our everyday life and love people in the places we are. We don’t have to look for people to show love to, they are all around us. We need to let our lives be a sermon. A lot of us might read the bible a lot and go to church all the time, but what do we do when somebody we know needs our help or gets on our nerves?

How you treat those who annoy you shows what is inside of your heart. Ask God to help you clean out your heart if needed and to show you what you need to do to change yourself in order to show love to those you come in contact with each day.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
