Proverbs 21:5 (AMP) 5 The thoughts of the [steadily] diligent tend only to plenteousness, but everyone who is impatient and hasty hastens only to want.
Growing roots and bearing good fruit takes time. We tend to be impatient and hasty. We always seem to want results much quicker than they come. Impatience is a fruit of the flesh but Godly patience is a fruit of the spirit. Patience is not just the ability to wait. We are going to have to wait whether we want to or not. Waiting is a fact of life. For example, pregnancy takes nine months and it goes through stages.
Starting something is not difficult, it is when we get to the middle of what we are working toward that things seem to get hard. We are the only ones who can decide if we will go through something or make the decision to give up because things seem too difficult. It is easy to give up and quit. Be determined to never give up because the end result is worth the pain and the wait.
