It is difficult to be in the world and not of the world

Matthew 5:13-16 (AMP)  13 You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.  14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.  16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.

It’s difficult to be in the world and not of the world.  It’s tough to remain Godly in an ungodly world.  It’s even more difficult to not appear judgmental to the ungodly people.  As Christians we need to be careful how we talk to non-Christian people.  We need to be a shining light to people and calmly be what we are without compromising our beliefs and continue to be friendly and a blessing to those who need to have what we have in Christ.

The more times change, the more we tend to become like the world rather than like Christ and we tend to have excuses for our behavior such as “times are different”.  Times may be different but the bible is the same.  Every man will stand before God and give account for their life.  A lot of us have one foot in the world and one foot in Christian living and we cannot seem to make up our mind how we are going to live our life.  It’s time to stop being lukewarm with God and become aggressive in our walk.  Again, this is not getting out in the world and becoming an obnoxious Christian but we do need to turn our light on for others to see in a positive way.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
